Enclosure

The enclosure needs to be kept as dry as possible as they don't do well in high humidity
and can suffer from respiratory infection.
One end needs to be at the desired temperature for the Skink and a cooler end for them to retreat too. This can be achieved by using a 40 watt globe or a 60 watt globe to determine the temperature change depending on the enclosure size.
Ventilation is a big issue as the less you have the more humidity you will get and to much will result in loss of temperature, so you need to find a happy medium in the enclosure.
A good substrate is Kitty litter as it can keep the humidity down and absorb the Oder's.
